Lord Krishna is one of the most powerful incarnations of the Hindu Dharam. It is believed that Lord Krishna took birth to fight with the evil powers that existed on the earth. The main motive of Lord Krishna was to free the world from evil powers. Because of this motive, Lord Krishna also played a very important role in the war of Mahabharata.

Lord Krishna took birth in a prison. He was under the grasp of his maternal uncle Kansa. But his father Vasudev somehow managed to save Krishna from Kansa by giving him to his friend Nand.

Kansa was the brother of Devaki, who was Krishna’s mother. He was evil-minded and he planned to kill Krishna just after his birth. But somehow as Nand saved and raised Sri Krishna, He became powerful and killed Kansa.

As we know that, like other important festivals of India, Janmashtami too has its own importance and significance. The day signifies the birth of the great Lord Krishna.

Krishna Janmashtami is a festival celebrated by the Hindus in India. It is one of the famous and holiest festivals celebrated amongst the Hindus and the dedicated devotees of Lord Krishna.

Hindus celebrate this festival on the occasion of the birth of Lord Krishna. It is celebrated in the month of August every year. Janamashtami has various other names like Krishnashtami, Gokulashtami, and Shrijayanti, and the festival is celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm.

Lord Krishna is one of the most powerful avatars of Lord Vishnu. Hindu celebrates this festival with a lot of joy and happiness. Krishna is the symbol of justice.

Shri Krishna was born at midnight. Krishna Janmashtami was observed at Ashtami tithi, Krishna paksha of the Shraavana moon. This day is celebrated with great enthusiasm and dedication. The temple of Shri Krishna is beautifully decorated. To celebrate their beloved God’s birthday, people wore new clothes gathered at temples.

Krishna Janmashtami is also known as Krishnashtami. In Utter Pardesh it is also called Ashtami.

A famous game that is played on the auspicious occasion of Janamashtami is Dahi- Handi. Janmashtami, popularly known in Mumbai and Pune as Dahi Handi. It is celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm. Handis are set up around the city, and groups of youngsters, called Govinda Pathaks, travel around in trucks trying to break as many handis as possible during the day.

The Janmashtami celebration of Mathura and Vrindavan, the places where Sri Krishna had spent his life, are very special. On this day temples and homes are wonderfully decorated and illuminated. Night-long prayers are offered and religious mantras are sung in the temples.

भगवान कृष्ण हिंदू धर्म के सबसे शक्तिशाली अवतारों में से एक हैं। ऐसा माना जाता है कि भगवान कृष्ण ने पृथ्वी पर मौजूद बुरी शक्तियों से लड़ने के लिए जन्म लिया था। भगवान कृष्ण का मुख्य उद्देश्य दुनिया को बुरी शक्तियों से मुक्त करना था। इसी मकसद से भगवान कृष्ण ने महाभारत के युद्ध में भी अहम भूमिका निभाई थी।

भगवान कृष्ण ने एक कारागार में जन्म लिया। वह अपने मामा कंस के अधीन था। लेकिन उनके पिता वासुदेव किसी तरह कृष्ण को कंस से अपने दोस्त नंद को देकर बचाने में कामयाब रहे।

कंस देवकी का भाई था, जो कृष्ण की माता थी। वह बुरे दिमाग वाला था और उसने कृष्ण को उसके जन्म के बाद ही मारने की योजना बनाई थी। लेकिन जैसे ही नंद ने श्रीकृष्ण को बचाया और उठाया, वे शक्तिशाली हो गए और बाद में कंस को भी मार डाला।

जैसा कि हम जानते हैं कि भारत के अन्य महत्वपूर्ण त्योहारों की तरह जन्माष्टमी का भी अपना महत्व है। यह दिन महान भगवान कृष्ण के जन्म का प्रतीक है।

कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी भारत में हिंदुओं द्वारा मनाया जाने वाला त्योहार है। यह हिंदुओं और भगवान कृष्ण के समर्पित भक्तों के बीच मनाए जाने वाले प्रसिद्ध और पवित्र त्योहारों में से एक है।

भगवान कृष्ण के जन्म के अवसर पर हिंदू इस त्योहार को मनाते हैं। यह हर साल अगस्त के महीने में मनाया जाता है। जन्माष्टमी के कई अन्य नाम हैं जैसे कृष्णष्टमी, गोकुलाष्टमी, और श्रीजयंती, और यह त्योहार बहुत खुशी और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाता है।

आधी रात को श्रीकृष्ण का जन्म हुआ था। कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी श्रावण मास की कृष्ण पक्ष अष्टमी तिथि को मनाई जाती है। इस दिन को बहुत उत्साह और समर्पण के साथ मनाया जाता है। श्री कृष्ण के मंदिर को खूबसूरती से सजाया गया है। अपने प्यारे भगवान का जन्मदिन मनाने के लिए लोग नए कपड़े पहन कर मंदिरों में इकट्ठे होते है।

कृष्ण जन्माष्टमी को कृष्णष्टमी के नाम से भी जाना जाता है। उत्तर परदेश में इसे अष्टमी भी कहते हैं।

जन्माष्टमी के शुभ अवसर पर खेला जाने वाला एक प्रसिद्ध खेल दही-हांडी है। जन्माष्टमी को मुंबई और पुणे में दही हांडी के नाम से जाना जाता है। यह बड़े जोश और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाता है। हांडी शहर के चारों ओर स्थापित की जाती हैं, और युवाओं के समूह, जिन्हें गोविंदा पाठक कहा जाता है, ट्रकों में यात्रा करते हैं और दिन के दौरान अधिक से अधिक हांडी तोड़ने की कोशिश करते हैं।

मथुरा और वृंदावन का जन्माष्टमी उत्सव, जहां श्री कृष्ण ने अपना जीवन बिताया था, बहुत खास हैं। इस दिन मंदिरों और घरों को शानदार ढंग से सजाया और रोशन किया जाता है। मंदिरों में रात भर प्रार्थना की जाती है और धार्मिक मंत्र गाए जाते हैं।
