Essay on Children’s Day in English 

14 November is celebrated as ‘Children’s Day. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India was born on this day. Nehru Ji loved children very much. Children used to call him Chacha Nehru.

He believed that the future of any country depends on the children of that country. That’s why he dedicated his birthday to the children so that the focus should be on the children of the country: such as their health, mental development, physical development, education, etc.

The children were also very fond of him and they used to call him Chacha Nehru. That is why since 1956, 14 November was celebrated as Children’s Day all over India.

Children’s fairs are organized across the country on the occasion of Children’s Day. Various programs are organized in schools on this day. There are also various types of competitions for children. Children take part in these competitions with great enthusiasm.

On Children’s Day, Chacha Nehru is remembered and children are encouraged to follow the ideals laid down by Chacha Nehru. Children are the building blocks of any country. They are the future citizens of India.

So let us try to give a healthier and better environment for our children not only on this day but every day. Only then will we be able to realize Nehruji’s dream.

Essay on Children’s Day in Hindi

14 नवम्बर का दिन ‘बाल दिवस’ के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इसी दिन भारत के प्रथम प्रधानमंत्री पंडित जवाहरलाल नेहरू का जन्म हुआ था। नेहरू जी को बच्चो से बेहद प्यार था। बच्चे उन्हें चाचा नेहरू कहा करते थे।

उनका मानना था की किसी भी देश का भविष्य उस देश के बच्चों पर निर्भर करता है। इसलिए उन्होंने अपना जन्मदिन बच्चो को समर्पित कर दिया ताकि देश के बच्चों पर ध्यान केन्द्रित किया जाए : जैसे उनकी सेहत, मानसिक विकास, शारीरिक विकास, शिक्षा, आदि।

बच्चो को भी उनसे बेहद लगाव था और वे उन्हें चाचा नेहरू कहकर पुकारते थे। इसीलिए 1956 से ही पुरे भारतवर्ष में 14 नवंबर बाल दिवस के रूप में मनाया जाने लगा।

बाल दिवस के अवसर पर देशभर में बाल मेले लगाए जाते है। इस दिन विद्यालयों में अनेक प्रकार के कार्यक्रम आयोजित किए जाते है। बच्चों के लिए अनेक प्रकार की प्रतियोगिताएँ भी होती है। बच्चे इन प्रतियोगिताओं में बहुत उत्साह से भाग लेते है।

बाल दिवस के दिन चाचा नेहरू को याद किया जाता है तथा बच्चों को प्रेरणा दी जाती है की वे चाचा नेहरू द्वारा बताए गए आदर्शो पर चलें। बच्चे किसी भी देश के निर्माण खंड हैं। वे भारत के भविष्य के नागरिक हैं।

तो आइए हम अपने बच्चों को न केवल इस दिन बल्कि हरदिन एक स्वस्थ और बेहतर वातावरण देने की कोशिश करें। केवल तभी हम नेहरू जी के सपने को साकार कर सकेंगे।
