क्रिसमस ईसाई धर्म का त्यौहार हैं। यह त्यौहार महात्मा ईसा के जन्मदिन के रूप में मनाया जाता हैं। इसे ‘क्रिसमस इव’ कहते हैं। कई दिनों तक चलता रहता हैं। 25 दिसम्बर ‘क्रिसमस डे’ माना जाता हैं।

क्रिसमस का त्यौहार पुरे विश्व में 25 दिसंबर को बहुत धूमधाम से मनाया जाता है। इस दिन ईसाई धर्म को मानने वाले नए कपडे पहनते हैं और गिरजाघरों में प्रार्थना करने के लिए जाते हैं। लोग अपने घरो को क्रिसमस के पेड़, लाइट और फूलों से सजाते हैं।

क्रिसमस पेड़ के पास परिवार के सदस्य इकट्ठा होते हैं और पूजा तथा प्रार्थना करते हैं। क्रिसमस ईसाई धर्म का महत्वपूर्ण त्यौहार हैं। वे इस अवसर पर अपने दोस्तों तथा रिश्तेदारों को मिठाइयॉ और उपहार भेजते हैं।

प्रत्येक घर में ‘क्रिसमस केक’ बनाया जाता हैं। बच्चों को विशेष उपहार दिए जाते हैं। क्रिसमस प्रेम एव शांति का त्यौहार हैं। यह मनुष्य के जीवन को सुखी और अर्थपूर्ण बनाने का संदेश देता है।

बच्चो के लिए ऐसा माना जाता है की उनको तोफे देने के लिए रात को सांता क्लॉज आते है। बच्चे सांता क्लॉज को बहुत मानते है और उनका इंतज़ार भी करते है।
